The « Comité d’Echanges Franco-Japonais » (French-Japanese Exchanges Committee – CEFJ) is an association which gathers approx. 150 French and Japanese companies in France and which works for the development of exchanges of information and a better mutual knowledge between its members, on economic matters as well as on societal or environmental ones.
To do so, it organizes regularly meetings between its members, bringing in outside personalities and twice a year, a forum on a major economic theme.
In December 2015, France will host COP21 which should be a major milestone for climate change general negotiation. The CEFJ has decided to contribute to the preparation of this UN event, organizing an industrial forum « Climate Changes and Industrial Solutions » with the two following main purposes:
• underline examples of practical running projects, industrial initiatives French, Japanese, or Franco-Japanese, which have or might have impact, including possibly at local level;
• underline innovation opportunities for SMEs.
The forum which will bring together numerous speakers from both countries, will be held on December 2nd in Paris (at the Headquarter of the Paris Ile-de-France Chamber of Commerce and Industry, at 27 avenue de Friedland 75008 Paris), from 8:30 am to 6:45 pm.
